Job Summary
The Recovery Support Specialist will work part-time within the Substance Use Disorder residential program, promoting the philosophy of the Gándara Center. Responsibilities include maintaining direct supportive contact with residents, assessing their individual needs, transporting clients to appointments, facilitating treatment groups, and collaborating with other departments to coordinate care. Candidates should possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, with preferred qualifications including an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a human services field and at least one year of experience with psychiatric clients.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have availability of an automobile to transport clients or perform other supportive services as necessary.
Desired Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in human service field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with psychiatric clients preferred.
