Job Summary
The Recovery Support Specialist will work in a Substance Use Disorder residential program, providing advocacy and safety, maintaining direct supportive contact with residents, and assisting clients during stressful situations. Responsibilities include transporting clients, facilitating treatment groups, and forming supportive relationships. Candidates should have a high school diploma, with an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a human service field preferred, and experience with psychiatric clients is advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must have availability of an automobile to transport clients or perform other supportive services as necessary
- Acquire and maintain necessary certifications mandated by the Agency and licensing standards
Desired Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in human service field preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with psychiatric clients preferred
