Job Summary
Recovery Specialist at Sunrise Ridge supports women in recovery through daily program operations, guidance, and accountability. Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to scheduled recovery-based programming, overseeing medication administration and documentation, leading recovery-focused groups, performing wellness and safety checks, completing detailed shift notes and incident reports, facilitating transportation to appointments and court hearings, advocating for residents within the community, fostering a trauma-informed, gender-responsive environment, and providing additional support for pregnant/postpartum residents. Must pass required background checks (CORI and Adam Walsh/Child Protective Services), hold a valid driver’s license, and contribute to mandated reporting as applicable. The role emphasizes compassionate, evidence-based support, documentation accuracy, and collaboration with the Sunrise Ridge team under supervision. Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License
- CORI check
- Adam Walsh/Child Protective Services Background Check
- Experience in residential treatment, peer recovery coaching, or behavioral health settings
- Lived experience with substance use disorder with at least one year of continuous sobriety
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based documentation platforms such as Kipu
