Job Summary
Provide peer counseling and case management to individuals in recovery from substance use or mental health challenges. Collaborate to promote client choice, self-determination, and participation in planning, delivery, and evaluation of treatment, rehabilitation, and support services. Perform crisis intervention, liaise with community resources, and assist in rehabilitation, education, and support for families under clinical supervision. Work as a full integrated team member to share personal experience and expertise, and to support clients and families. The role includes duties such as peer counseling, consultation to clients and families, and coordinating with team staff to maximize client outcomes. Schedule: First shift, Part-time, 12 hours per week, 7a-7p. Requires valid driver’s license and eligibility for Certified Recovery Specialist certification.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid state issued driver's license
- Certified Recovery Specialist or able to pursue required certification
- Experience or eligibility: living in recovery with a mental health and/or substance use condition or as a family member of someone with such condition
