Job Summary
The Recovery Specialist II provides vital care addressing the physical and psychological needs of individuals in a psychiatric mental health setting. Responsibilities include delivering direct and indirect services tailored to individual service plans, ensuring compliance with Medicaid standards, and advocating for client rights. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent with experience in a relevant setting, or a BA/BS with a year of experience, along with knowledge of nursing skills. Certifications in CPR, First Aid, and CPI are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D and two (2) years of experience in a psychiatric mental health setting or BA/BS with one (1) year experience in mental health setting
- Knowledge of basic nursing skills and interventions, as well as mental and physical health conditions and terminologies
- Certification as a CNA or its equivalent
- Proficient understanding of client advocacy and client rights as defined in Title 17 and Title 9
- Must be CPR, First Aid, and CPI certified
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Additional Requirements
- All opportunities are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification
