Job Summary
The Recovery Specialist II provides direct and indirect care to individuals served, following individual service plans and Medicaid standards. Responsibilities include delivering care that supports recovery, applying basic nursing skills, and upholding client rights. Requires CNA certification or equivalent, CPR/First Aid/CPI certification by start, and compliance with post-offer health and background checks. Shifts include full-time overnight PM hours with varied schedules; offers benefits such as PTO, holidays, shift differentials, tuition discounts, and health/retirement plans. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED and two years of experience in a psychiatric mental health setting, or BA/BS with one year in mental health
- Knowledge of basic nursing skills and interventions; mental and physical health terminologies
- Certification as a CNA or equivalent
- Proficient understanding of client advocacy and client rights as defined in Title 17 and Title 9
- Must be at least 18 years old
- CPR, First Aid, and CPI certification (hands-on) before providing direct client care and maintained throughout employment
- Post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for TB, criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree/license verification; driving requirements if applicable
