Job Summary
Support the daily operations and therapeutic milieu of Clinical Stabilization Services (CSS), maintaining a safe, recovery-oriented environment for individuals in structured substance-use treatment. Perform and document required Signs of Life and facility safety checks, provide person-centered support to encourage engagement in treatment and daily unit activities, and coordinate care activities with nursing, counseling, and program staff. Assist with admissions and discharges, support self-administration of medication including documentation and counts, and respond to emergencies or critical incidents. Complete accurate electronic health record entries, incident reports, and shift documentation, while providing safe transportation to appointments and assisting with food service and laundry. Work the assigned essential-staff schedule in a 24-hour residential treatment program, protecting confidentiality under HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to meet BHN requirements for transporting individuals in a program vehicle
- Ability to work the assigned essential-staff schedule in a 24-hour residential treatment program
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) credential
- Two years of sustained recovery
- Ability to understand, empathize with, and provide respectful support to individuals experiencing substance-use disorders, co-occurring mental health challenges, and early recovery needs
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions, perform basic mathematics, understand written information, and use charts, reports, medication records, and other program documentation accurately
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, observation, and communication skills, with a respectful, empathetic, caring, and nonjudgmental approach
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, accept support and direction, adapt to changing unit needs, and remain effective during stressful or urgent situations
- Basic proficiency with computers, electronic health records, email, agency communication systems, and standard office equipment
