Job Summary
Provide direct services and ensure the well-being of consumers at the Carlson Recovery Center, including crisis intervention and emergency services as needed. Oversee client activities, produce accurate and timely documentation, and manage food shopping. Transport clients in a registered and insured vehicle or program van while assisting individuals with Activities of Daily Living. Adhere to all regulations and requirements of licensing and funding sources. This role supports adults aged 18 and older in a 32-bed program offering individualized recovery supports for up to 30 days for substance use and mental health stabilization.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to understand, empathize and work with adults struggling with problem substance use and often mental health issues
- Competency in simple mathematics, reading comprehension, written and oral communications, following instructions, simple use of charts, reports and records
- Knowledge of developmental stages for adult population and applies developmental theories and concepts when planning and implementing care for individuals served
- Knowledge and skill in assisting individuals served with Activities of Daily Living (ADL)
- Valid Driver's License
- Vehicle for use during all working hours should be registered and inspected in accordance with 540 CMR 4.00
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) credentials
