Job Summary
Recovery Pathways Engagement Worker provides client engagement, advocacy, and coordination to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients through residential rehabilitation pathways, and transition back into community. Responsibilities include assisting clients with court appointments, housing, employment, education, and health appointments; liaising with AOD services, health providers, and referral agencies; supporting transport and family/community connections; developing individualised transition plans, and maintaining confidential records. The role emphasizes cultural safety, connection to country and community, and participation in Aboriginal healing programs and yarning circles, with strong emphasis on advocacy, practical support, and continuous quality improvement. This is a part-time role (0.4 FTE, 15.2 hours per week) based in Prahran, Victoria, Australia, with in-person work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Current Victorian driver's licence
- National Police Certificate (not older than 3 months)
- Victorian Employment Working with Children Check
- Right to work in Australia Check
Desired Qualifications
- Desirable: Qualification in Alcohol & Other Drugs, Social or Community Services, or equivalent experience
