Job Summary
Foster strong relationships with participants by leveraging your own recovery experience to provide mentoring and peer support. Connect individuals with social service resources and programs while guiding them to set goals and develop recovery action plans. Track participant recovery plan progress and participate in annual training, including the Peer Recovery Support certification. Share your lived experience with the community to help create success stories for others navigating recovery. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday from September 2026 to July 2027, with 40 hours per week, while part-time positions at 25 hours are also available.
Required Qualifications
- In recovery for at least one uninterrupted year from a substance use disorder
- Dependable and have a history of good attendance
- Able to understand and follow instructions
- Able to set a pace and maintain a service schedule, depending on the agreed upon hours commitment
- Have basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)
- Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
- 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
- A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
- Able to successfully complete a background check
