Job Summary
Recovery Navigator/Family Advocate to provide trauma-informed support, resources, and referrals to women affected by substance use disorder and the criminal justice system. Responsibilities include connecting clients with housing, legal, recovery-based and social services; developing and reviewing wellness plans; building relationships with collateral contacts to coordinate care; developing peer-driven education for families and the community; and participating in treatment/wellness planning meetings. Requires prior criminal justice involvement and lived experience with substance use disorders, plus ability to work a flexible schedule including some nights/weekends. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and experience with adults with substance use issues are required; Recovery Coach Academy must be completed within 60 days of hire. Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a field other than behavioral sciences or a high school degree or GED
- Experience with adults diagnosed with substance use and/or dependency
- Knowledge of addiction treatment service system, criminal justice system and related human services
- Recovery Coach Academy required within 60 days of hire
- Strong communication and liaison skills
- Good oral and written skills
