Job Summary
Recovery Navigator/Family Advocate provides trauma-informed support, resources, and referrals to women impacted by substance use disorder and the criminal justice system. Responsibilities include connecting women and their families with housing, legal, recovery-based and social services; developing and reviewing wellness plans; coordinating with collateral contacts to enhance communication and care; developing peer-driven educational materials for family members and the community; maintaining a flexible schedule to meet client needs; participating in daily staff meetings and treatment/wellness planning; and performing other duties as assigned. Requires a Bachelor's degree (or high school diploma/GED) and experience with adults affected by substance use and/or dependency, knowledge of addiction treatment and criminal justice systems, and Recovery Coach Academy within 60 days of hire; strong communication and liaison skills and proficient written and verbal abilities. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a field other than behavioral sciences OR high school degree or GED
- Experience with adults diagnosed with substance use and/or dependency
- Knowledge of addiction treatment service system and criminal justice system
- Recovery Coach Academy required within 60 days of hire
- Strong communication and liaison skills
- Good oral and written skills
