Job Summary
Recovery Counselor at COMHAR to provide opportunities for individuals to direct their own recovery process, teach, coach, and motivate in acquiring skills for recovery, educate on available service options, promote utilization of community resources, and foster wellness and self-worth. The role includes after-hours line coverage on a rotating basis and is a floating position working out of three different locations in the Philadelphia area.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree OR CPS OR High school diploma or GED with 2 years experience in human services including 1 year mental health direct service
- 1 year work experience in mental health direct service OR demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Word
- Knowledge of community resources in Philadelphia area
- Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
