Job Summary
Deliver outreach services to families promoting access for service users and concerned others while providing advocacy for partnership services. Work with families of interest to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful lives through recovery, resilience, and peer support. Provide rapid and flexible interventions where required to meet the needs of service users with drug and/or alcohol related issues. Promote carer, service user, and community involvement while adhering to policies regarding lone working and health and safety. Collaborate with multi-agency partners including mental health services and criminal justice agencies to achieve good outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- A commitment to multi-agency working and establishing partnerships with other professions to achieve good outcomes for the service user group, e.g. mental health services, criminal justice agencies, community groups, etc.
- Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field
- Experience of safeguarding and working in the substance misuse field
- Knowledge of the issue facing families where substance misuse is present
- Good knowledge of local community based support practices
- Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK at the time of application
