Job Summary
Act as the key substance misuse representative within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub, gathering, analysing, and presenting relevant information to support multi-agency risk assessments and safeguarding decisions. Provide professional advice on substance misuse, safeguarding, and domestic abuse concerns while supporting service users through assessment, recovery planning, and referral pathways. Collaborate closely with statutory and voluntary partners, including social care, health services, criminal justice agencies, and community organisations, to maintain accurate records and ensure appropriate information sharing. Contribute to the development of information-sharing protocols and continuous improvement of MASH processes to promote recovery, resilience, and positive outcomes for people affected by substance misuse. This role is fixed term ending the 31st of March 2028, with a salary range of £28,557.79 to £32,802.41 plus Outer London Weighting.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working within substance misuse, recovery, safeguarding, health, social care or a related field
- A strong understanding of drug and alcohol issues and their impact on individuals, families and communities
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures for children and vulnerable adults
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to a range of professionals
- Experience of partnership working and multi-agency collaboration
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
- Confidence to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team
- Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK at the time of application
