Job Summary
The Recovery Coach role supports families in recovery within Terros Health’s Families FIRST program. Responsibilities include outreach and engagement with clients referred by the Department of Child Safety, providing information on confidentiality, coordinating care with DCS and other agencies, documenting in client records, ensuring follow-up outreach attempts, and facilitating connections to community supports. The position requires mentoring and role-modeling based on lived recovery experience, ability to conduct in-person outreach within 24 hours of referral, and adherence to professional practice standards. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (BHPP or BHT pathway)
- 6 weeks of Behavioral Health experience (BHPP) or 3 years of Behavioral Health experience (BHT)
- Paraprofessional with training/certification in a substance use disorder or Recovery Coach Program
- Ability to pass background check per Terros Health and DCS requirements
- Valid Arizona Driver License (minimum 4 years driving experience)
- Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Level 1) or ability to obtain within 7 working days of employment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills; ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with basic computer skills
- Must be substance-free for 6 months after treatment
