Job Summary
The Recovery Coach role focuses on promoting recovery and removing barriers to recovery, serving as a personal guide and mentor for individuals in or seeking recovery from alcohol and/or other drugs, modeling recovery principles, linking clients to recovery-oriented supports and services, and acting as a liaison between the recovery community, addiction treatment, medical treatment systems, and the client’s social network to facilitate connections across care settings.
Required Qualifications
- Recovery coach certification required within the first 12 months of employment
- Achievement of a minimum of 2 years of uninterrupted recovery required
- 3-5 years of uninterrupted recovery preferred
- Ability to use an Electronic Health Record to document medically necessary clinical services
- Strong skills in communication, follow-through, collaboration, and customer service
- Ability to read and write English and communicate effectively in the program's primary language
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a safe, insured vehicle for transporting participants
