Job Summary
Promote recovery by removing barriers and obstacles for individuals seeking or in treatment for alcohol and/or drug addiction. Serve as a personal guide and mentor while modeling recovery principles consistently. Provide linkages to peer support, self-help services, and community-based mental health programs. Act as a liaison between the recovery community, addiction treatment systems, medical systems, and participants' families to facilitate cross-system connections. Achieve minimum two years of uninterrupted recovery, with three to five years preferred, and obtain certification within the first 12 months. Use an Electronic Health Record to document services, maintain a valid driver's license, and transport participants using a safe, insured vehicle. Work Monday through Friday from 5:30am to 2:00pm at the Main Street Outpatient location in Worcester, MA.
Required Qualifications
- Achievement of a minimum of 2 years of uninterrupted recovery
- Recovery coach certification within the first 12 months of employment
- Ability to use an Electronic Health Record to document medically necessary clinical services
- Strong skills in the areas of communication, follow through, collaboration, and customer service
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language of the program to which he/she is assigned
- Valid driver's license
- Access to a safe, operational, and insured vehicle
- Willingness to use a vehicle to transport participants
