Job Summary
Provide recovery coaching to bridge clinical treatment and sustainable community-based recovery. Role model, leverage personal recovery story to motivate clients. Develop and facilitate individual and group recovery support services; help clients access community resources and supports; assist in transition to productive community members. Perform basic office tasks and provide outreach and transportation as needed. Bilingual English-Spanish preferred; requires certificate in Recovery Coach program, knowledge of chemical dependency and MAT services, group facilitation, boundaries, multicultural competency, valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate of completion from an accredited Recovery Coach program
- Lived experience of mental health/psychiatric symptoms and/or in recovery from substance use disorder
- Familiarity with area recovery community, services and resources
- Experience with group education and/or facilitation
- Understanding of and ability to maintain appropriate boundaries
- Evidence of knowledge of the dynamics of chemical dependency rehabilitation, the challenges associated with MAT services, the best practices available to the chemically dependent, community resources and appreciation of recovery coaching and self-help groups
- Must demonstrate appreciation and willingness to develop continuing skills towards multicultural competency within a behavioral health setting
- Must demonstrate good emotional stability, maturity, warmth and openness
- Driver’s license and motor vehicle required
- Bilingual (English- Spanish) preferred
