Job Summary
Mentor, guide, and empower adults on their unique recovery journeys using motivational interviewing and peer support to build recovery capital and develop wellness plans. Provide coaching services to a minimum of 20 individuals, facilitate goal-setting through SMART goals, and offer education on relapse prevention and harm reduction. Conduct weekly coaching sessions and at least one in-person meeting monthly while connecting clients with healthcare, housing, employment, and community supports. Maintain accurate documentation and engage with the broader recovery community to lead information sessions. Requires a high school diploma, two years in sustained recovery, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years in sustained recovery from addiction
- Completion of Recovery Coach Academy & Ethical Considerations training (or ability to complete within 4 weeks of hire)
- Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC) or working toward certification within 1–2 years
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Knowledge of diverse recovery pathways (12-step, peer-based, harm reduction, etc.)
- Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care
