Job Summary
Provide members with prompt and courteous service and assistance while replenishing, stocking, and straightening merchandise across the sales floor. Keep the environment clean, neat, and fully organized by removing empty cardboard, folding apparel, and ensuring accurate signage. Replenish milk, dairy, freezer, food, and non-food items, and use a pallet jack to move heavy objects up to 30 pounds. Maintain club policies and procedures, escalate member concerns as appropriate, and ensure a safe, inclusive environment. This part-time role requires regular, predictable attendance and physical movement on hard surfaces. BJ's Wholesale Club, headquartered in Marlborough, Massachusetts, serves over 8 million families with fresh produce, meat, and home goods.
Required Qualifications
- Must successfully complete required training and certification processes
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Regular, predictable, full attendance
- Ability to move continuously on hard surfaces
- Ability to bend, climb, crawl, pull, reach, stoop, and climb ladders/step stools
- Ability to lift objects up to 30 pounds
- Ability to lift and move heavy and/or awkward objects more than 30 pounds with assistance
- Ability to use a pallet jack to pull and push pallets
- Ability to work with company authorized cleaning agents
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor temperatures, including extreme temperatures in freezers and coolers
