Job Summary
Recovery Case Worker in Mission Australia’s Community Living Supports program focuses on delivering person-centred, recovery-focused case management to adults living with mental health challenges. Responsibilities include developing, implementing and regularly reviewing individualized, strengths-based support plans; delivering outreach and community-based support, including assistance with daily living skills; conducting intake, assessment and transition planning; building respectful relationships to promote choice, dignity and self-determination; and collaborating with internal teams and external services to coordinate holistic supports. The role requires proficiency in English and at least one of Arabic, Mandarin, or Cantonese, a related degree/diploma or Cert IV in Mental Health/Peer Work, a current WWCC and driver’s licence, and strong documentation and data-entry skills within client-management systems.
Required Qualifications
- A related degree or diploma or minimum Cert IV in Mental Health or Peer Work
- Current valid WWCC and Drivers’ licence
- Proficiency or fluency in English and at least one additional language: Arabic, Mandarin or Cantonese
- Experience providing case management and practical support to people with complex needs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, partner organisations and community services
- Sound organisational skills, including timely documentation, reporting and use of client management systems
- Professional, values driven approach with ability to manage complexity, ambiguity and boundaries
