Job Summary
Recovery Care Specialist collaborates with the clinical team to determine and implement interventions, engages clients in milieu activities and groups, assists with activities of daily living (ADLs) and meals, and maintains a therapeutic environment. Responsibilities include supervising meals, modeling appropriate social behavior, documenting services and incident reports, facilitating education groups, managing crisis situations, recognizing mood changes, supporting medication management, transporting clients to appointments, and conducting admissions/discharge activities in a residential/outpatient eating disorder treatment setting. Requires meeting a high school diploma or equivalent with a strong preference for a bachelor’s degree and at least one year of behavioral healthcare experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- Minimum of one year experience in a behavioral healthcare setting (preferably with clients with eating disorders)
