Job Summary

Recovery Care Specialist provides emotional support, encouragement, empathy, and care to clients with eating disorder treatment throughout day and night. Responsibilities include facilitating shift communication, participating in on-call rotation, integrating de-escalation and processing skills into performance, presenting a unified voice to clients with the treatment team, building rapport while maintaining professional boundaries, following emergency self-harm interventions, encouraging participation in daily programming, completing weekly affirmations, attending groups on shift, transporting clients in company vehicles, and assisting with meals/snacks using behavioral interventions. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, Active First Aid/CPR/AED certification, vaccinations (MMR and HEP B), a valid driver’s license, and successful completion of required background checks. The role involves 2-3 major/minor holidays per year and adherence to treatment philosophy and client rules, with equal employment opportunity and at-will employment stated by the employer.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree (mental health/social work field preferred)
  • Active First Aid/CPR/AED certification (American Red Cross/American Heart Association)
  • Documented proof of MMR and HEP B vaccinations
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Successful completion of Criminal Background Check through DBHDS, Background Investigation Unit, and VDSS Registry Searches.
