Job Summary
Assist individuals with daily living activities, including grocery shopping, meal preparation, household chores, and personal routines. Teach and reinforce skills that promote independence while supporting individuals in achieving goals identified in their recovery plans. Encourage participation in community activities, provide transportation to medical appointments, and foster safe, meaningful community integration. Complete required documentation, including case notes, communication logs, incident reports, timesheets, and mileage logs, while following all agency and program requirements. Follow individualized recovery plans and maintain a flexible approach to meeting each individual's unique needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-6 months of related experience, internship experience, or completion of a Human Services training program
- Ability to successfully complete the online Recovery Assistant Certification course and all required training
- Valid Connecticut Driver's License
- Recovery Assistant Certification (DMHAS requirements)
- CPR and First Aid Certification (as required by program site)
- PMT Certification
