Job Summary
Download PDFs, verify image quality, perform data entry, and submit records into the system. Log information in automated tracking systems, scan files, check files in and out, transfer files, and retire files. Research information systems to locate files, identify, organize, describe, and label record materials. Interfile documents, refile sections, create electronic file folders, and attach bar code labels. Retrieve files for delivery to requestors and maintain files by removing duplicates, preparing substitute closure forms, and redistributing records. Prepare files for transfer or retirement by labeling, listing, and boxing them. Conduct regular shelf reading and quality control inventories of paper and electronic files. Research official materials to initiate workarounds or contact users to resolve manifest discrepancies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 6+ months of on-the-job experience using a computer terminal, a scanner, and electronic document management tools and software
- Must possess a valid driver's license or temporary license
- A background check is required
- Successfully pass background and drug screening
