Job Summary
Record to Report (R2R) PEC Analyst responsible for coordinating and executing month, quarter, and year-end closing activities, posting and validating journal entries, and performing balance sheet reconciliations. The role includes analytical review of P&L and balance sheet, ensuring proper accruals, timely reporting packages, ICFR/compliance alignment, knowledge documentation, back-up support, and participation in continuous improvement initiatives. Strong English and Japanese communication are required, with SAP/ERP proficiency and capability to coach juniors and collaborate with stakeholders across a shared services environment. Based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, with emphasis on accurate financial reporting, process improvements, and adherence to internal controls and local statutory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Finance & Accounting/Commerce or equivalent
- Good communication in English and Japanese
- Minimum 5 years in related field; General Accounting and Management Accounting
- SAP knowledge or other ERP accounting systems
- MS Office tools
- Prior leadership or project management experience may be advantageous
