Job Summary
Lead month-end close and financial reporting activities for U.S. entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements and disclosures. Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for SAP and platforms including FCRS, IBI, and BPC, applying IAS, IFRS, and Novartis Accounting Manual guidance to complex matters. Review balance sheet reconciliations and BSR packages to ensure data integrity, while overseeing royalty revenue streams and third-party agreements. Partner with divisional stakeholders, NOCC teams, and external auditors to address reporting matters and support audit requirements. Drive service delivery excellence by achieving SLA and KPI commitments and identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation. This temporary role supports Novartis's mission to improve and extend people's lives through financial integrity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial Reporting, Accounting, Record-to-Report (R2R), Audit, or related finance functions
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, IAS, financial reporting requirements, accounting controls, and financial statement preparation
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems, including SAP and financial reporting platforms such as FCRS, BPC, or similar technologies
- Fluent English communication skills with strong stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification
- Experience leading finance transformation or ERP implementation projects
