Job Summary
Perform basic drywall repairs, minor carpentry, and plumbing tasks to restore residential and commercial properties damaged by fire, water, mold, or storms. Install flooring materials and assist mitigation teams with water extraction, fire cleanup, and mold remediation efforts. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes while operating company vehicles as necessary. Reachable by phone during waiting periods but otherwise free to use time for personal activities unless contacted to report for duty. Requires 2+ years of construction experience, a valid driver's license, and ability to lift up to 75 lbs. in varying weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience in construction/handyman services
- Valid Driver's license in good standing without restrictions
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment, materials, and debris weighing up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and perform physical labor for extended periods
- Comfortable working in confined spaces, attics, crawl spaces, and other challenging environments
- Ability to work around water, mold, fire, smoke, and other property damage conditions while wearing required PPE
- Ability to operate mitigation equipment and safely handle tools and materials used in restoration work
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and job-site environments
- Ability to travel to customer locations and respond to emergency service calls as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with mitigation processes for water, fire, and mold damage
- Certifications such as OSHA, IICRC, etc.
