Job Summary
Conduct end-to-end auditing of transaction records across internal systems, payment gateways, and banking partners to validate data and identify mismatches. Analyze high-volume datasets to track payment lifecycles, manage chargeback reversals, and ensure accurate accounting adjustments. Write complex SQL queries for exception reporting and utilize Python for data cleansing, automation, and cost optimization of gateway fees. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports and dashboards for leadership while partnering with vendors to resolve operational issues. Maintain strict adherence to internal financial controls and audit requirements. Requires 3–6 years of experience in payment reconciliation and advanced skills in SQL and Python.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field
- 3–6 years of experience in payment reconciliation, fintech operations, payment gateway systems, or financial data analysis
- Advanced SQL: Proven ability to query, join, and analyze complex relational databases
- Python: Proficiency in writing scripts for data cleansing, manipulation (e.g., Pandas, NumPy), and process automation
- Advanced knowledge of pivot tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, and complex formulas
- Deep understanding of the payment ecosystem (MDR, settlement cycles, chargebacks, merchant payouts, and banking APIs)
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with an eagle-eye attention to detail
