Reconciliation Analyst

Job Summary
Reconciliation Analyst responsible for supporting daily investment accounting reconciliations across multiple asset classes (cash, positions, transactions, market value) including IBOR, PBOR, ABOR vs IBOR, and client market value reconciliations. Investigate reconciliation breaks, escalate issues per procedures, and collaborate with internal teams (Corporate Actions, Pricing, Trade Support, Portfolio Support) and external service providers (custodians, fund accountants, counterparties) to ensure data accuracy, timely issue resolution, and adherence to service level agreements. Provide support for reconciliations across equities, fixed income, and derivatives, identify recurring issues and process inefficiencies, assist with operational projects and system enhancements, and support audits and regulatory requirements within a hybrid work arrangement (Budapest) ensuring high standards of data quality and operational controls.
Required Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high levels of data quality and operational accuracy
- Solid understanding of financial instruments, trade lifecycle, and middle office processes (or the ability to learn quickly)
- Ability to follow established procedures while identifying areas where controls can be strengthened
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and propose practical solutions
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across operations, technology, compliance, and other internal teams
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion
- The intellectual curiosity to identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
