Job Summary
Inspect pre-owned vehicles for mechanical and cosmetic repairs, then complete basic maintenance services like oil changes, brake checks, and fluid inspections. Document all work performed and communicate repair needs with service advisors while ensuring vehicles meet safety and quality standards before front-line readiness. Assist with cosmetic reconditioning including buffing, light interior cleaning, and trim repairs. Operate vehicles safely within the dealership and maintain organized work areas. Maintain reconditioning logs to meet daily production targets. Requires valid driver's license, clean driving record, and 1+ year of general automotive experience. Full-time role with Sundays off, medical/dental/vision benefits, and 401k match. Located at Town and Country Ford, a Sonic Automotive dealership.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in general automotive maintenance or repair
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Authorization to work in the USA
- Ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of reconditioning or dealership service experience
- Familiarity with multi-point inspections and light mechanical repairs
- Experience working with internal service departments or used vehicle operations
