RECON DETAIL MANAGER AUTO DEALERSHIP

Oversee the full vehicle reconditioning process from intake to frontline readiness. Ensure inspections, repairs, detailing, and merchandising are conducted efficiently and cost-effectively while meeting dealership quality standards. Coordinate with Sales, Service, Body Shop, Vendors, and Accounting to maximize inventory turnover and profitability. Manage vehicle intake and evaluations, open repair orders, assign work to technicians or external vendors, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion within budget. Maintain cost control, review invoices, and approve payments. Conduct quality assurance checks to verify all required repairs and cosmetic work are completed and vehicles are ready for sale. Lead with strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills; proficient in dealership software; capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment; uphold integrity and safety. Requires a high school diploma or GED and 3+ years of related automotive recon/management experience; NYS Inspector License preferred.
