Job Summary
Model safe, inclusive play and teach structured and unstructured games, sports, and activities for preschool through Grade 5. Facilitate competitive and cooperative play while collaborating with faculty to ensure consistent student supervision during lunch, recess, dismissal, and after-school care. Maintain and organize recess equipment and supplies, supporting student wellbeing across all unstructured times. Work Monday through Friday from 10:30am to 6:30pm in a 10-month cycle running from mid-August to late-June.
Required Qualifications
- Understanding of child development for children ages 3–11
- Strong ability to guide, support, and engage children during play
- Knowledge of age-appropriate conflict resolution strategies for children
Desired Qualifications
- CPR/First Aid and concussion protocol certification preferred (training provided)
- Familiarity with, or a willingness to learn, the Responsive Classroom approach
