Job Summary
The Receptionist position entails being the first contact for visitors and callers while providing administrative support. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- General computer knowledge and typing at least 35-55 wpm
- Two years secretarial experience or equivalent
- Valid California Driver’s License
- 3 years of continuous sobriety (if in recovery)
- Meet standards of character under PL 101-630 and PL 101-647
- Agree to abide by the code of ethics established by the Indian Health Service Manual
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with case management and intake procedures in a residential substance abuse program setting is desirable but not required.
- Excellent time management and interpersonal skills among clients, staff and the public.
- Cultural sensitivity to American Indians.
Additional Requirements
- Preference in hiring given to qualified Native Americans in accordance with the Indian Preference Act.
- Must submit verification of Indian certified by tribe of affiliation or other documentation of Indian heritage.
