Job Summary
Greet clients arriving at the office, inquire about their visit purpose, and provide initial information regarding the firm's services and lawyer availability. Obtain preliminary information from new clients to determine case histories and backgrounds, then record all provided details and forward them to lawyers or legal assistants. Respond to telephone calls by operating PABX systems, diverting and transferring calls, and taking or relaying messages. Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence according to established protocols, oversee office supplies and equipment storage while maintaining vendor liaisons, and ensure conference spaces are tidy for client meetings. Assist attorneys, paralegals, and staff with various clerical duties as needed. Work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm at an hourly rate of $15.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Entry level experience working in an office setting
- Knowledge of general office practices
- Skill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines
- Demonstrated skill in effective oral and written communication
- Skill in exercising sound judgment and effective decision making
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and ProDoc
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
