Job Summary
Greet clients arriving at the office, inquire about their visit purpose, and provide initial information regarding the firm's services and lawyer availability. Obtain preliminary case history and background details from new clients, then record all provided information to forward to attorneys or legal assistants. Respond to telephone calls by operating PABX systems, diverting and transferring calls, and taking or relaying messages. Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence according to established protocols, oversee office supplies and equipment storage while liaising with vendors, and ensure conference spaces are tidy for meetings. Assist attorneys, paralegals, and staff with various clerical duties as needed. This role supports the firm's mission of protecting consumer rights against insurance companies and corporations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Entry level experience working in an office setting, preferably in the legal environment
- Knowledge of general office practices
- Skill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines
- Demonstrated skill in effective oral and written communication
- Skill in exercising sound judgment and effective decision making
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and ProDoc
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
