Job Summary
Receptionist at JARS Cannabis in MI serves as the first point of contact, handles customer check-ins per state and CRA requirements, registers new customers in the POS, checks purchasing allotments, promotes the JARS brand, and delivers friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced cannabis retail environment. Responsibilities include welcoming guests, maintaining compliance, supporting curbside/online orders, answering inquiries, updating menus and promotions, performing opening/mid-day/closing tasks, and providing administrative support to store management while adhering to laws and store policies. Requires 21+ years old, HS diploma/GED, and at least 1 year of customer service and front desk experience; ability to operate POS and office equipment; willingness to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience in a retail, sales, and/or hospitality environment
- 1 year of previous administrative and/or Front Desk Receptionist experience
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have strong attention to detail, organization, multi-tasking, and follow-up skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Must be able to work cooperatively as a team member
- Exceptional hospitality skills required - role involves constant contact with patients and staff
- Ability to operate a computer, POS system, and other office equipment
- Moving up to 30 pounds on occasion
- Work will generally be performed in a fast-paced retail cannabis dispensary
- Involves frequent contact with patients and staff
- Will require working varied hours/day, including nights, weekends, holidays, and/or events on occasion
Additional Requirements
- State of Michigan background check required by CRA; felony within past 10 years for controlled substance or distribution to minors will not be considered
