Job Summary

Greet all visitors in person and via phone as the facility's first point of contact while operating the phone and paging system. Manage clerical support duties including maintaining confidentiality, following Life Care standards, and implementing departmental policies. Assist in patient evacuation and communicate productively on an interdisciplinary team. Maintain professional relationships with associates and vendors while demonstrating integrity and adherence to harassment and compliance procedures. Requires a high school diploma or secretarial science program completion, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to sit, stand, and lift intermittently during working hours. This PRN role supports post-acute care operations with a focus on patient safety and sanitation.

Required Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Successfully completed a secretarial science program from accredited college or university
  • Minimum of six (6) months experience in a clerical role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e mail
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • Knowledge of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility
  • Ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
  • Proficiency in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation
  • Ability to maintain professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
  • Understanding of and ability to follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
  • Integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care's Code of Conduct and completing mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training
  • Ability to service as the first point of contact for guests and visitors in person as well as via phone in a friendly and professional manner
  • Ability to effectively operate the facility phone and paging system
  • Exhibition of excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
  • Ability to assist in the evacuation of patients
  • Dependable, regular attendance
  • Concentration and use of reasoning skills and good judgment
  • Ability to communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
