Job Summary
Greet visitors and clients professionally, screen and route incoming calls, and manage lobby postings and informational materials. Ensure facility security by verifying authorized access and maintain a clean, organized reception area. Handle administrative support including data entry, document preparation, mail distribution, and program census tasks such as intake scheduling and documentation uploads. Take clear messages, make overhead notifications, and perform toxicology testing and charting if assigned to the treatment program. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders while adhering to confidentiality standards, safety protocols, and organizational policies. Maintain professional boundaries, recognize personal biases, and respond appropriately to crises within scope of practice.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalency
- High School Diploma or educational/experience equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year of front office, receptionist, or administrative experience
- Strong communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Recordkeeping skills
- Ability to operate required computer programs for position, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, electronic timekeeping system, electronic learning management system
- Valid California driver's license
- Liability insurance if driving a personal or company vehicle on BHS business
- Adequate vision
- Adequate hearing
- Adequate manual dexterity
- Adequate eye-hand coordination
- Ability to sit at a desk
- Ability to use a keyboard
- Ability to write
- Ability to physically perform other job duties
- Ability to move about the facility
- Complete annual TB
- Good standing
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or social services settings
- Knowledge of medical or behavioral health terminology
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
