Job Summary
Recent CDL-A graduates can join System Transport as a CDL-A Flatbed Truck Driver for Regional routes with training provided. Responsibilities include transporting glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals on flatbeds. Must hold a valid Class A CDL, be 21+, and pass standard hiring requirements (background check, drug test, Clearinghouse). Role involves lifting 90 pounds to tarp loads (tarping ~70% of loads), physical readiness tested during orientation, and compliance with safety policies. Competitive weekly and annual pay, transition/orientation pay, health and retirement benefits, PTO, and home-time flexibility are offered. Home time is off most weekends for a 34-hour reset; routes vary by division and experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Class A CDL
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience required (Recent CDL-A grads, no experience required - we will train you)
- A safe driving record on the road
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- Background Check required
- A Clean Drug Test required
- A Clean Clearinghouse result required
- Physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice (tarps on ~70% of loads)
