Job Summary
Recent CDL-A flatbed driver needed in Division 290 (Arlington Heights, IL) to haul glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals on regional OT/ regional routes. Training is offered for recent CDL-A graduates through May 31, 2026. Competitive pay packages with weekly and annual earnings, plus accessorial pay (tarp, stop, detention, border crossing, safety bonuses, and other). Benefits include health, dental, vision, HSA, 401(k) and matching, life insurance, PTO accrual, and transition/orientation pay. Home time is off most weekends with a 34-hour reset; riders not allowed; strong safety program and driver portal available. Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Class A CDL
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience required (for Recent CDL-A Grads, no experience required - we will train you!)
- A safe driving record on the road
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- A Background Check is required
- A Clean Drug Test is required
- A Clean Clearinghouse result is required
- For all flatbed driver opportunities, the driver must be physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice. System Transport will test this during orientation, and flatbed drivers tarp about 70% of our loads.
