Job Summary
Recent CDL-A flatbed driver role with System Transport. Responsibilities include operating flatbed trucks on regional and OTR routes, transporting materials such as glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals, and ensuring safe loading/unloading. Training is available for recent CDL-A graduates through May 31, 2026. Compensation includes weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package; home time varies by division with weekends off for a 34-hour reset. Includes a transition package and orientation pay. Location highlighted: Kansas City, MO area. Safety and compliance are emphasized with health, retirement, and PTO benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Class A CDL
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience required (for Recent CDL-A Grads, no experience required - we will train you)
- A safe driving record on the road
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- Background Check is required
- A Clean Drug Test is required
- A Clean Clearinghouse result is required
- For all flatbed driver opportunities, the driver must be physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice
- System Transport will test this during orientation, and flatbed drivers tarp about 70% of our loads
