Job Summary
Flatbed CDL-A driver needed for regional and OTR routes in the western region. Drive flatbed to haul glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals. Training offered for Recent CDL-A graduates through May 31, 2026; orientation pay and transition pay included. Home time off most weekends with 34-hour resets. Excellent benefits available after waiting period (health, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, EAP, PTO accrual, sick time). Driver pays include tarp pay, stop pay, detention pay, border crossing pay, safety bonuses, and over-dimensional pay as appropriate. Must be able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice and tarp roughly 70% of loads. Qualifications emphasize valid Class A CDL, age 21+, limited recent job changes, clean driving record, and background/drug/Clearinghouse checks.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Class A CDL
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience required (for Recent CDL-A Grads, no experience required - we will train you!)
- A safe driving record on the road
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- Background Check is required
- A Clean Drug Test is required
- A Clean Clearinghouse result is required
- For all flatbed driver opportunities, the driver must be physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice. System Transport will test this during orientation, and flatbed drivers tarp about 70% of our loads.
