Job Summary
Flatbed CDL-A driver role based in the Kansas City, MO area with System Transport. Drive regional or OTR routes hauling glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals using flatbed equipment. Recent CDL-A graduates eligible for training during a limited window. Role includes weekly and annual pay figures, transition/orientation pay, and comprehensive benefits. Home time off most weekends for a 34-hour reset; emphasis on safety, compliance, and ability to tarp loads as part of daily duties. Requires valid Class A CDL, 21+, clean driving record, background check, drug test, and Clearinghouse clearance; physical ability to lift a tarp (90 pounds) onto a platform during orientation; strict adherence to safety and equipment standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months driving experience (for Recent CDL-A grads, no experience required)
- Safe driving record
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- Background check
- Clean drug test
- Clean Clearinghouse result
- Able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice (tests during orientation)
