Job Summary
Recent CDL-A flatbed driver for System Transport needed to operate regional and OTR routes hauling glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals. Training offered for recent CDL-A graduates. Responsibilities include securing and tarp-ing loads (often requiring lifting ~90 lbs), maintaining safety on the road, and benefiting from a comprehensive pay and benefits package. Eligible candidates must possess a valid CDL-A, be 21+, have a safe driving record, and pass background, drug, and Clearinghouse checks. Home time is off most weekends for a 34-hour reset; orientation and transition pay are provided. The role emphasizes flatbed driving with opportunities across regional routes in the western region and nationally, with competitive weekly and annual compensation and a robust benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Class A CDL
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience required (for Recent CDL-A Grads, no experience required - we will train you)
- A safe driving record on the road
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- Background Check required
- Clean Drug Test required
- Clean Clearinghouse result required
- Physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice (will be tested during orientation)
- Ability to drive flatbed loads and tarp about 70% of loads
