Job Summary
Recent CDL-A flatbed driver role with System Transport. Drive flatbed trucks on regional/OTR routes transporting glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals. Training provided for recent CDL-A grads. Responsibilities include loading/unloading tarp-heavy loads (lift 90 pounds onto a 5-foot platform), maintaining safety and compliance, and adhering to home-time expectations (off most weekends for a 34-hour reset). Benefits include health/dental/vision, 401(k), transition/orientation pay, PTO, and other accessorial pay. Office locations include Oak Lawn, IL and Kansas City, MO; strong emphasis on safety and equal opportunity employment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months driving experience (for Recent CDL-A grads, no experience required - we will train you)
- Safe driving record
- No more than 6 jobs in last 3 years
- Background check
- Clean drug test
- Clean Clearinghouse result
- Physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice (tarp handling)
