Job Summary
Operate as a CDL-A flatbed truck driver on regional and over-the-road routes hauling glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals. Role includes training for recent CDL-A graduates, orientation and transition pay, and benefits enrollment after eligibility waiting—home time off most weekends for a 34-hour reset. Responsibilities include securement of loads with tarps, maintaining safe driving practices, and complying with background checks, drug testing, and Clearinghouse requirements. Work locations include the Kansas City, MO area and Hannibal, MO, with an emphasis on safety, reliability, and customer service in a heavy-shipments environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Class A CDL
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience required (Recent CDL-A grads—no experience required—we will train you)
- A safe driving record on the road
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- Background Check required
- A Clean Drug Test required
- A Clean Clearinghouse result required
- For all flatbed driver opportunities, the driver must be physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice
