Receiving Warehouse Technician

Job Summary
Unload finished products, parts, and materials delivered via tractor trailers and ocean containers, then put away incoming items while keeping the dock organized. Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor and process all required transactions in the Company's Business System. Operate a forklift and pallet jacks, stage raw materials for production, and assist in delivering products to the west warehouse. Return unused staged materials to the warehouse location and communicate with multiple departments including Production, QA, Accounting, and Shipping. Perform duties such as operating the corrugated box baler and cross-train in other areas as needed. This role involves lifting items up to 40lbs for extended periods and requires basic math skills and Microsoft proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Frequently lift and/or move items over 40lbs for extended periods (1-2 hours)
- Must be able to operate a forklift and pallet jacks
- Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Ability to learn the Company's Business System
- Basic math skills required
- Be able to follow instructions as assigned by supervisor
- Be able to communicate issues within the Receiving Department procedures and suggest improvements
- Ability to effectively communicate with individuals both external and internal to the company in written, verbal and interpersonal forms required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with receiving and/or warehousing, not required but advantageous
