Job Summary
Receive and unpack medical supplies against purchase orders, prepare return-to-vendor shipments, and record shipment data including weight and charges. Report damages and discrepancies for reimbursement, maintain logs of incoming and outgoing shipments, and generate daily production and volume reports. Lift up to 40 lbs and operate carts weighing 250 lbs while working extended shifts. Requires knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations, scanning equipment, and internal database tracking systems.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- 0-1 year experience working in a shipping/receiving or professional office environment
- Some knowledge of the job
- Moderate understanding of general job aspects and some understanding of the detailed aspects of the job
- Knowledge & application of domestic and international shipping carriers, customs, duties and shipping regulations as well as internal tools used (e.g., scanning equipment, hot- synching of scanners, internal database tracking system, dollies and carts)
- Excellent customer service, professional attitude and appearance are a must
- Ability to work overtime & meet deadlines
- Ability to lift 40 lbs
- Repetitive motion
- Reaching, pushing, pulling carts weighing up to 250lbs
- Walking, standing for extended periods of time
